Exterior Finish
Our Fiberglass Polyester Enhanced Compound Honeycomb Panels are designed with a smooth, high gloss gel coat exterior finish that offers superior weathering characteristics and resistance to UV degradation. With a thickness of 15 mils (± .003"), our gel coat provides excellent flexibility, making it resistant to acid and alkali. Plus, when the surface is properly prepared, it readily accepts decals and most paints, giving you the freedom to customize your panels to your liking.
Interior Finishes
For the interior surface of our panels, we offer two options to suit your specific needs. Our standard option includes a thin clear film that is laminated during the composite panel production process. This heat sealable film not only covers typical porosity but also provides a surface that is considerably easier to clean than raw resin surfaces.
If your application requires sanding, laminating, or bonding to the interior surface, we can eliminate the clear film upon request. In this case, a white pigmented polyester resin will be the final interior finish, containing porosity on the surface. Additionally, for special orders where extra protection against moisture penetration is desired, we can add 15 mils (+-.003") of high gloss gel coat to the interior surface.
